My name is Lara and I am on a journey. A journey to understand myself at the deepest level – the Soul level. A journey to make sense of this world and all of the good and the bad that comes with it. A journey to figure out why I am here so I can live my life as authentically, purposefully, and joyfully as possible.
I have taken many risks throughout my life without regret. They all have made me into the person I am today. The most recent leap of faith was to follow my Soul on a journey into the unknown (see About Me). As of today, I still don’t know where this particular journey will lead. I am still in the thick of it.
As I sat down to write my first blog post, I hesitated. I worried that if I post articles about what I am currently going through, it will highlight the fact that I haven’t got all of the answers. People will see that I’m still on this esoteric journey and don’t know where it will lead me. I felt that before I started posting blogs, I should come to some magical conclusion where I could tout my “success.”
But after meditating on it, I realized that if I wait until I arrive at a final destination to start writing, I’ll be waiting forever.
So, I will be completely upfront and transparent with you. I don’t know how my story will end. And if you embark on a similar journey, I won’t be able to tell you how your journey will end. Our souls continue to evolve throughout our lifetime and beyond. We’re never “done” learning or growing. It’s not a destination where we cross the finish line, breathe a sigh of relief, and call it a day. Our life’s journey is continuous.
With this realization, I decided to summon the courage to post my first blog, vulnerability and all.
I feel that it’s important to share my journey with you - what I’ve been through in my life, the lessons I’ve learned, and what I am currently going through. I want to share this with you because my experiences may help you as you go through yours. I will share my authentic Self and you can take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.
